In my Ph.D research, I gained valuable experience in continuous wave EPR and X-ray Absorption Spectroscopy of biological transition metal systems working on a joint project between the labs of CharlesYocum and James Penner-Hahn.  During my postdoctoral research in David Britt's laboratory, I gained valuable research experience using both commercial and custom built pulsed EPR spectrometers.

My duties here include coordinating EPR users within and outside of the department, training on all of the EPR instrumentation and creating and maintaining the web content for both the OAEPRL and the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry.

Every other fall, I teach a hands on course covering EPR instrumentation, methods and analysis.  This course consists of lectures, computer sessions and time spent with the instruments themselves. The course is primarily for graduate students, but is also open to undergraduates.  In fall semesters when I'm not teaching the EPR course, I teach the undergraduate physical chemistry laboratory course for chemistry majors.
